"Yesterday he was a little bit better": Pep Guardiola speaks out on Erling Haaland's tough week
Manchester City's talisman missed out on two matches after picking up a knock against Aston Villa last weekend
Pep Guardiola has provided an update on Erling Haaland's fitness ahead of Manchester City's clash with Arsenal on Wednesday night.
The Norwegian striker has missed City's last two matches with a foot injury, and Guardiola has admitted that the 22-year-old is still not fully fit.
"Yesterday he was a little bit better," Guardiola told reporters at his pre-match press conference. "We will see today how he feels and make a decision after training."
Haaland has been in excellent form for City this season, scoring 22 goals in 17 appearances in all competitions.
His absence has been a blow to Guardiola's side, who have drawn their last two matches without him.
Guardiola will be hoping that Haaland is fit enough to face Arsenal, who are top of the Premier League table.
The match is a crucial one for both sides, with City looking to close the gap on Arsenal and the Gunners looking to extend their lead at the top.
