Local Mexican Restaurant to Close After 40 Years
Casa del Rey to Serve Last Meal on December 31st
Sioux Falls, SD - Casa del Rey, a local favorite Mexican eatery since 1980, will be closing its doors for good on December 31st. The restaurant, known for its "fabuloso array" of dishes, has been a staple in the Sioux Falls community for over 40 years.
Owner Maria Rodriguez announced the closure in a heartfelt Facebook post, saying that it was a "difficult decision" but that it was time for her to retire. "I want to thank all of our loyal customers who have supported us over the years," she wrote. "We will miss you all very much."
Casa del Rey is known for its authentic Mexican cuisine, including its famous chimichangas. The restaurant has been a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, and its closure will be a loss for the Sioux Falls community.
Rodriguez said that she is not sure what the future holds for the Casa del Rey building, but she hopes that it will continue to be a restaurant.
