The most recent UEFA EURO was held in 2016 in France. Portugal won the tournament, defeating the hosts France in the final. Cristiano Ronaldo was named the Player of the Tournament.

The next UEFA EURO will be held in 2020 in 12 different cities across Europe. The tournament will be expanded to 24 teams, up from 16 teams in previous tournaments.
