Forest Victory Was Really Hard Says Guardiola
Manchester City Secure Crucial Three Points
Guardiola Praises Team's Resilience
Pep Guardiola described Manchester City's 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest as a hard test, acknowledging the resilience of his team in securing crucial three points.
The Blues had to ride their luck at times, but a goal from Bernardo Silva early in the second half and a late strike from Erling Haaland sealed the victory.
Guardiola said: "It was a tough game, we knew it would be. They defended well, but we found a way to win."
"I'm pleased with the performance of the team. We showed great character and determination."
"We're one step closer to the Premier League title, but there's still a lot of work to do."
De Bruyne was outstanding in the center of midfield, creating several chances for his teammates.
The Belgian played a key role in Silva's goal, threading a pass through the Forest defense that the Portuguese forward finished with aplomb.
Haaland also impressed, scoring his 27th goal of the season in all competitions.
The Norwegian striker latched onto a pass from Riyad Mahrez and fired low into the net to seal the victory.
